Scale of the Mediator’s fees and AFA administrative expenses

Article 1: Registration Duty

Article 1- §1

Any referral for an AFA mediation request shall be accompanied with a filing fee of 1000 euros in accordance with article 2- §2 of the AFA Mediation Rules.

Article 1- §2

This filing fee is payable equally between the parties.

Article 2: Mediator’s fees

Article 2- §1

Subject to the limits laid down in paragraph 2 and the AFA ‘s approval, the mediator’s fees shall be fixed, when he is appointed, on the time spent basis of a reasonable hourly rate determined by the AFA depending on the complexity of the dispute and any other relevant circumstances after consultation with the latter and the partie.

Article 2- §2

In all cases, the hourly rate as fixed by the AFA in paragraph 1 falls within the following limits:

Article 3

The amounts referred to in this scale are exclusive of tax.
