The decree adopted on 13 January 2011 is the new law governing arbitrations in France which will enter in force on 1st May 2011. This text will be codified in the Code civil procedure. Arbitrations in France are governed by the Code civil procedure.This reform of arbitration law codifies existing case law, reaffirms the French legal system’s support of arbitration, and seeks to establish France as a leader in the field of international arbitration.
